I began photography at around 18. I worked as a photographer and photo editor for the Columbia Daily Spectator while at Columbia University. I also photo edited for a publication called Roots and Culture.

As much as I can I do fine art photography. For me the artistic process has to do with trying to control every detail as much as possible. Even after I shoot I  sometimes process my work digitally. I feel I am as much a painter as a photographer.  My work as a dancer inspires some series I work on.

In addition to being an artist I am also a medical doctor.
